As a man you might think you don’t need to put your health and wellbeing before anything else, this is not true. Everything that other people do, you should be doing as well. Life is about more than just work and home life, you should also be putting time aside for yourself. Hit The Gym
One thing you might enjoy doing from time to time is hitting the gym. In an ideal world, you will incorporate about 45 minutes of exercise into your daily routine; this could be anything from swimming to running. If you don’t want to join the gym bros, then you could work out in the comfort of your own home. There are plenty of videos online that you can follow along to, or you may be confident enough to go it alone and do whatever you like to do. Maybe one day you do some weight training while the other you focus on your core strength.
Sleep Enough
How many hours of sleep are you getting each night? If the answer is less than six then you may have an issue. You can begin to feel exhausted and irritable constantly if you don’t hit the recommended amount. This won’t be good for anyone, not home life or work life. There may be a reason you are missing out on those vital hours; it could be down to children waking you up or it might be due to underlying health issues. It could even be due to an old, uncomfortable mattress. If your mattress is older than ten years, then you should look into changing it for a new one.
Talk About It
Mental health is something that isn’t really spoken about in the male community, however it should be. Mental health is just as important for men as it is for any other gender and you shouldn't be treated any differently for having feelings and emotions that sometimes get a little out of control. Drink More
Finally, how much water do you drink on a daily basis? You need to be aiming for around two liters which equates to around six glasses. This might seem like a lot and it can be, but it is totally worth it. Your body needs water to stay hydrated and to function, seeing as it is made up of around 70% water. You lose this throughout the day, which is why you need to stay hydrated. Otherwise you can quickly begin to feel the effects of dehydration setting in, you will know this due to the intense headache associated with it.
